Band 1 Treatment

Band 2 Treatment

You can get free dental treatment if you:
- Are under 18
- Are under 19 and in full-time education
- Are pregnant
- Have given birth in the last twelve months
- Have a valid HC2 certificate
You might also get free or reduced-cost treatment if you have a low income and receive benefits like:
- Income Support
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Universal Credit (if you meet the criteria)
- Contact your dentist for urgent treatment.
- If you don’t have a dentist or it is out of hours, call NHS 111 for the nearest out-of-hours dental service.
- Emergency treatment costs £26.80 unless you’re eligible for free treatment.
- Go to A&E if you have heavy bleeding, face/mouth/tooth injuries, or severe swelling of the mouth, lips, throat, neck, or eyes.
