Band 1 Treatment:

Band 2 Treatment:
- Cost: £73.50.
- Examples: Fillings, root canal treatment, oral surgery.
Band 3 Treatment:
- Cost: £319.10.
- Examples: Bridges, crowns, braces, dentures.

You can get free dental treatment if you:
- Are under 18
- Are under 19 and in full-time education
- Are pregnant
- Have given birth in the last twelve months
- Have a valid HC2 certificate
You might also get free or reduced-cost treatment if you have a low income or claim:
- Income Support.
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance.
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit.
- Universal Credit (if you meet the criteria).

What to do in an emergency
- Contact your dentist for urgent treatment.
- If you don’t have a dentist or it is out of hours, call:
- NHS 111 for the nearest out-of-hours dental service.
- Emergency treatment costs £26.80 unless you’re eligible for free treatment.
- Go to A&E if you have:
- Heavy bleeding.
- Face/mouth/tooth injuries.
- Severe swelling of the mouth, lips, throat, neck, or eyes.
